Types of aircrafts used after the second world war?

Question:

Answers:

Pilots where do you store your plane for a short period?

As Aanand G said, your question is pretty vague; however...
Although many aircraft types were scrapped as obsolete after the war, and almost all Japanese & German aircraft were destroyed to prevent their being used, some aircraft types continued to serve, mostly because a suitable jet replacement was many years away. The N.A. P-51 Mustang served in Korea, and the Mustang and the British Spitfire served in the Air Forces of many small countries well into the 60's. The Douglas AD1 Skyraider and A-26 Invader, and the Lockheed P-2 Neptune even served in Vietnam. Although the Russians replaced most of their aircraft with jets soon after the war, they kept their Tupolev-made copy of the B-29 in service until the late 60's.
As for jets though, a list of all post-war jets would be quite long-the technology advanced so quickly that many types never got past the flight-test prototype stage, and many became obsolete before they could get into full production.
If you want a more specific answer, than you might want to think about & ask a more specific question.

Although only 15, i'm immensely interested in aircraft n aerodynamics. Actually, ur question is very vague. And so is the answer.

what is the approximate length of a runway?

The types of aircrats used are, obviously, jets. The main parameters in designing today's jets r minimal drag (i.e., better aerodynamics), manoeuvrability, performance, efficiency, life, better armaments (BVRAAMs, LRAAMs, IR guided AAMs n Sidewinders, long-range bombs, etc.) n implementation of new technologies like afterburners, on-board comps, V/STOL (Vertical/Short Take-Off n Landing), powerful radars n so on...

Why do the yanks act like spoilt brats every time a competitor totally outclasses them in civil aviation?

And of course... i forgot to mention stealth technology... the kind of planes invisible to the radars. That's the most sought after requirement for jets today. Examples r -- F-117A Nighthawk, SR-71 Blackbird, B-2 Spirit bomber, etc.
