As far as costs for the seminars, I believe that depends upon the seminar. But as far as attending them the FBO I used to work for used to hosted them quite often and they where very informative and always well attended. I've been to several and I think it's worth it. It never cost me anything. If for no other reason it is a great opportunity to fly somewhere for a reason other than a $100 Hamburger and mix it up with other pilots. They usually have coffee and hand-outs and such.
