You'll need a commercial Pilot's liscence if you want to be an airline pilot. Otherwise you can become a recreational pilot or an airforce pilot. I think in the airforce they only let officers be pilots (and if you don't have a degree, you can't be an officer)...I want some information regarding the dimensions of a glider...?

You don't need any degrees , but it does help to have high grades as per intelligence ,because you have to first pass ground courses, intermingled with recreational pilot lessons of many hours , to acquire first your solo certificate and then further up in the different categories each consists of further technical and hours of flying in different more sophisticated planes , night flying , weather conditions etc. each time you require to pass exams and receive certificates of level achieved , not to mention medical and sight check ups .Most major airlines have a strong strong preference for a degree.
