Question:
I live on the runway 22L and 22R approach paths of Logan Intl. Airport in Boston, Mass and was wondering if the A380 will be coming to Boston and if so, whether or not I should be able to see it on final. I see a lot of planes during the day already.
Answers:
what is the purpose of those planes that fly around making clouds?
I was an engineer and program manager on the A380 program in my previous job an I don't recall seeing Logan as one of the airports in the first round of suitability for the 380. (Most airports had to do some sort of minor modification to accept the 380. Typically the runway was fine, but they needed to add some additional concrete on the taxiway corners because of the turning radius of the aircraft and they needed to make some terminal modifications to accept the second deck.)Since the 380 will be first used on heavy overseas trips, you will see them going into the major hubs first (like New York) and the smaller overseas hubs like Logan will likely be adequately served by aircraft like the A340 and 777 for a long time yet.
Does the rotation of the earth have any influence on the flight time of a commercial air plane?
The Airbus site used to have a set of files under the A380 section that talked about airport readiness. They may have removed these now that the aircraft is finishing its flight test program.
Where in the world is the best hot air balloon ride?
i looked at a list of airlines that fly to Logan. judging by the list, its unlikely that the a380 will be flown there. perhaps if there is an extremely busy virgin atlantic flight you might see one...but not until 2012 i think.justify the use of various communication systems in an aircraft?
if you see the planes on approach path then you won't miss such a giant! don't worry if it comes to Boston you will be able to see it for sure.More Questions & Answers ...
