What were the differences hetween the English Spitfire and Hurricaine fighter planes and the American P--47?

Question:
I am searching for information regarding aerodynamics, load capability, maxium ceiling, armarnent, engine specs, and handling charasteristics of the English Spitfire, Hurricaine, and the American P-47 fighter plane. Would be interested in hearing from any of the pilots who flew these planes during WW 2. I am writing a book, and your name will be the credits section of my book

Fear of Airplanes anyone???

The Jug had eight 50BMGs on it, making it the most heavily-armed fighter airplane of the war. The Jug had a big 9-cylinder radial on it; the English offerings were V-12s and water-cooled.

Flight Simulator?

If you are going to compare and contrast the Spitfire and/or Hurricaine to an American fighter of the similar age and/or production time, I would suggest maybe you compare and contrast them to the Curtiss P-40 or maybe even the P-15 Mustang. P-47 came much later and, therefore, would be a more superior plane.
