Airbus A300 or Boeing 787 Dreamliner ?

Question:
Which is the better plane ?

Answers:

Where can I get the value of a Hartzell Propeller Mdl. 669. Mfg between 1930-36. Good condition?

The A300 is an old discontinued jet. If you mean the A380, it has a name. The WhaleJet. And it doesn't compete with the 787.
The 787 is a much more advanced design with higher humidity because it's not made of aluminum, higher pressure and modern information/entertainment systems. The A380s biggest problem is it's old fashioned wiring that needs dozens of wires for every seat. And the fact that it was built for the wrong reasons. They just wanted to say they had the biggest airplane, while Boeing spent years talking to customers and getting the design right for the market.

what is the difference between turbofan engines and turboprop engines?

Boeing! It's as simple as that.

From the passenger's perspective, the 787 is a very nice, comfortable plane. There is nothing particularly wrong with the A300, but it is just not quite as nice to be on. Good luck!!

If a plane went into a cloud, would it...?

Personally I think that the Airbus is better because of the avionics and flight controls available to the pilot, for a passenger the Boeing is nicer because it offers more space and as an added bonus does not use recycled air!

It depends on which manufacturer you support, how can we make a judgement unless we have the facts.

Which is more maneuverable: the MiG-35 or the Su-30/Su-35?

Boeing, because it lasts longer and the design of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner is excellent the interior but Airbus has beaten Boeing with the A380 so Boeing wanted to beat Airbus and is coming up with the Boeing 747-800 that will hold more passengers then the Boeing 747-400, but the Boeing 747-800 still cannot beat the Airbus A380.

Red arrows break-up?

The Boeing 747-800 is going to be in the market by late 2009 they hope by then. You never know when Boeing or Airbus will come up with another design. Now the manufactures are looking at big and comfort of the passengers. I think Boeing might come up with another big and better plane maybe called the Boeing 797 you never know!

What Should I Do Now?

Well, I think the Airbus is the better plane. But you have to differentiate: the Airbus (I think you mean the A380) is the counterpart to the Boeing 747 Jumbo. Airbus is now on to develope another new plane as an answer to Boeings's 787 Dreamliner. It's the Airbus A350. Also a 2-engine powered plane, like the Dreamliner. I think you ask the wrong question. The question should be: Airbus A380 or Boeing 747 Jumbojet... You can't compare a VW Golf with a Ford F350 pick-up truck!!

Which is better the Bombardier Global Express (GLEX) or the Gulfstream G550 (G550)?

I believe you might be referring to the A350. its a concept aircraft and wont make its maiden flight till 2012. it is directly competing with Boeing 777 and 787.

When is a near miss not a near miss when planes are too close?

I would choose the 787 as a better plane. better features, better comfort, everything is better.

please helpme!.does anyone which country first used fighter planes?

i dunno if i want to trust airbus that much since the A380 nearly resulted in a disaster becuase of structural failures. they dont seem to plan everything out as well as Boeing but i guess they are still learing.

Does anyone know where i can buy a petrol remote control helicopter or plane online?

B787 is surely better than A300.SInce,A300 is not a dreamliner. But if u compare B787 and A380-the latest release of airbus, then its a tough competition indeed!Obviously Boeing has a quieter engine(GE or Pratt n Whitney) and comparitively utilises a smaller runway length. But comparing the passenger to fuel ratio,A380 definitely utilises lesser fuel and flies at much higher altitude.its true A380 requires much lenghtier runway. The fact to be noted here is that A380 is not designed to suit the domestic needs of the local people. The latest trend of the airlines now is to transport passengers to a big important city and then distribute them to their respective destinations through smaller aircrafts. Its here that A380 comes into picture. It transports the bulk of passengers to a main city(usually called the hub city) in this way,the passengers can reach a number of destinations and more passenger could be handled.B787 whereas, has a variety of airport destinations. But if u compare the costs handling A380 and B787,A380 is cheaper because more passenger could be serviced at lesser time.Moreover,A380 has fully computerised flight controls which reduces pilot effort and navigational error. The larger cross sectional area means more passenger space. The only drawback is that, doing an overhaul or maintenance repair of A380 is one hell of a job due to its highly intricate complex design.B787 is maintenance friendly.Otherwise A380 is a huge dinosaur roaring in the skies with its unbeatable engines powerd by ROlls Royce and sometimes GE.and its the best!

How do commercial airliners stay in the air if they are so big?

Probably have to go with the 787 if only for its newness. The A300 is a bit long in the tooth now, having been in service since 1974.
