Why not aircraft go back by own?

Boeing 747-400?

Both Jets and prop aircraft can back up using the same reverse thrust that is used when they are braking after landing. When departing a terminal gate this way it is called a power back and
care must be taken not to cause injury or damage to personnel or the building. Small objects on the ramp will be blown forward

A C-130 can!

Is it easy for a commercial pilot to enroll in a government airlines ?

If you are wondering why a/c can't go backwards on their own power the answer is that many turboprop a/c can. The C-130, Twin Otter, Dash 8, etc. It just isn't a very good idea as it's not possible to see behind the a/c.
Most airliners require a tow mule/tractor to move them. This is due to the fact that the trust of a jet engine is focused aft. Thrust reversers aren't designed for ground manoeuvring.

Which is the best?

Many can, this is called "power back", by reversing propeller pitch or thrust reversers on a turbofan. But this can only be done in designated areas, not usually with passengers, or only in emergencies. The T/Rs ( reversers ) blow any junk off the ground and forward, and jet engines love to suck stuff up ( birds, tools, people in some cases ). Not good. Mechanics don't like engines doing that. I say " Wait, i'll get the tug".
Any fellow mechanics agree with my explanation?
