Steve H got it right. The reason for keeping the nose up for any extended period of time is to burn off more speed. If you have plenty of runway and your speed is not excessive, go ahead & ease the front gear down. It will give your passengers a better feeling to have the nose down. If you are still rolling fast, keep the nose up a little longer, but don’t hold it there too long or it will BANG down and can damage the front gear. If you need it up, use it. well in the real thing you dont really let the nose down.. the nose will settle because the airplane doesnt have enough airspeed to keep it up... so dont come in too fast then when your mains hit ... pull the throttle back and ease the stick back it will come down when its readyIt is just a game.
