In class C airspace you just must establish radio contact before entering it. It might sound something like this on the radio:You: Oklahoma City approach Cessna 52077 with request
Approach: Cessna 52077 standby
You are now cleared to enter airspace because you have established radio contact.
Class B airspace is different. You must Be Cleared to enter their airspace. If they tell you to stand by then you better do some right 360's until you are cleared.

Yes - Class C airspace does not require that you are granted clearance to enter Class C. You can enter the airspace as soon as 2-way radio contact is established.

My first responce would be NO your asking for permission to enter air space, you have not gotten it." Radio contact should be initiated far enough from the Class C airspace boundary to preclude entering Class C airspace before two-way radio communications are established."
