What do you prefer? AirBus or Boeing?

Question:
I prefer Airbus, they always seem roomier than Boeings.

Answers:

need to know how far apart departure of us airways & American West is for senior travler?

Boeing's are usually more traditional designs, Airbus usually more innovative (but this not always mean better!!), in fact the first airliner with fly-by-wire and the first airliner with composite materials were Airbus.
(Airbus placed limits to the controls because the most important cause of accidents is man-factor, so computer-processed decisions are expected to reduce the risk of accidents, I can imagine that pilots can not see this with favor but passengers should do!!)
I think that at the moment they are almost the same, but probably Airbus are a little better, but we can say they are at the same level.
Airbus overcame Boeing last year in the airliners sector(Don't know for number of airliners or for business volume), while some years ago it was a weak competitor, now It's the world leading company in airliners manufacturing. This means that Boeing is growing slower than Airbus.
I think that the answers should be almost 50%-50%, but a lot of people answered Boeing only because it's American, being the living evidence of their protectionism, in fact USA are used to buy foreign products only when there are really no alternatives(like for Marine One, where the Agusta EH101 were the only possible alternative), otherwise they choose the American alternative although it's not the best.
I'm Italian, and Italian industries are NOT part of the Airbus consortium(UK,France,Germany,S... Italian main airplanes industries (Alenia and Aermacchi) works(or worked) with BOTH (Airbus and Boeing), but Alenia is more linked to Boeing, in fact B-787 fuselages are going to be built in Italy, so for interest I should say "Boeing is better", but I don't because I don't think it's true.

I will be most grateful if someone can describe the difference between the following..?

SU-27 v. F-22?

Boeing - American company

Can anybody describe Dutch roll and Spirall instability in easy way?

the aircraft maker has nothing to do with room its the dang airlines who decide how tight cattle class is going to be i prefer boeing only cause i havnt had the chance to fly on a airbus plane yet but when i do my opinon might change i do like airbus for there saftey record and crash survivability a-340 in Canada and the airbus a-321 in lax with the nosewheel issue no one died in these serious problems

What is a HH43?

yes

How does an aerial banner towed by an airplane stay in the correct, upright position?

boeing. safety comes first

Will there be a day when computers fly planes?

boeing...you dont see airbus creating any state of the art weapon platforms, do you?

Anyone wanna sponsor me to be a pilot, or anyone of anyone who can sponsor me to be a pilot?

Boeings are engineered and built to last.

Questions for Air Transport regulation on USG-13 (d)?

Airbus builds good airplanes, but their lifespan is designed to be about half that of a Boeing.

Flight simulator X qustion?

If Boeing is Haute Cuisine...Airbus is Burger King...they both fill a need.

Have you ever flown in a helicopter, when and why?

A lot of Boeing jets from the 50's & 60's are still flying strong. Pretty much every Airbus built in the 70's has already been scrapped.

when a person owns a private jet, how much money is involved in spending to go from one spot to another?

As for safety...if you compare the accident rate PER flight hour, Boeing has a better record than Airbus. There are far more Boeings flying in the world than there are Airbus products. Boeings fly a far higher average hour per day than do Airbus aircraft.

please tell me what the vapour trail is comming from the rear of commercial airliners and how it gets there?

Saying Airbus airplanes have less crashes is like saying there a fewer murders in Lizard Lick, North Carolina than there are in Detroit, Michigan.

What are some good ways to get rid of the effects of cabin pressure when during landing?

Boeing. Better engineering

How much does a B2 Bomber cost.?

Boeings are the best!

Im thinking about taking helicopter lessons, Does anyone know if the course is very difficult?

Everybody here answers judging from his beliefs...
Has any of these guys noticed that the most accidents of commercial jets happen to B737s around the world??
Because i work in an airport i can tell you that work is easier on the airbusesBy the way there are some things that boeing doesn't offer...
So i am supporting airbus..and about the details of your question..
Actually the airbus A320 Family has bigger cabin and more space between the seats than the boeing equiavalent B737..
Airbuses are more efficient, they also have small average age expect the ones buit on the 70s and 80s (A300-A310) and the cockpit is state of art...Compare pictures if you want to see the difference..you will be able to find pictures at www.airliners.net

I have an enamel lapel badge with 9 black planes on it saying, aerobatic team RAF then eclat help !?

I prefer Boeing. One reason because Boeing has lot of experience than Airbus. They are in a better financial position. They have the capital to invest in a new program for regional or a new change to B737. Airbus is cash strapped dealing with A380 and A350. Btw, airlines decide the seat pitch and all that. Aircraft manufactures does what they are told to do.

is MDH, MDA, DH, DA all the same?

Boeing - they let the pilot actually fly the airplane.

If the "black box" flight recorder is never damaged during a plane crash, why isn't the whole airplane made ou

I support Boeing.

need to know if age and experience as aircraft mechanic in aviation is a must...?

Airbus flight controll systems place limits on the control authority the pilot has over the aircraft. It limits bank and pitch angles and also has been known to autoconfigure the aircraft for landing, even when that is not the pilot's intention.

How many passenger did the concorde hold?

Boeing aircraft cause the controlls to give feedback beyond some set bank or pitch ammount, but the pilot still has full controll. Airbus pilots are more like a part of an autopilot system than anything.

How can i view the replay of my flight on Microsoft flying simulator 2004?

I prefer Boeing for the safe planes.

How can I model Stealth Technology?

I prefer Boeing, but Airbus makes a good machine. Boeing uses ALCLAD aluminum which has a very thin layer of pure aluminum on top of the alloyed aluminum sheets. It allows the skin to be left bare which makes the plane pretty and shiny and lighter. It prevents corrosion which is the airplanes #1 enemy. Airbus refuses to pay Alcoa to use their process, so they must paint ALL of the airplane ALL of the time.
Roominess is a decision made by the operator. Those seats can be moved in just a few minutes each. The two absolute roomiest planes I have ever been on were a Boeing 757 operated by Ethiopian Airlines and a McDonald Douglas MD-11 operated by Delta Airlines. One was First Class and the other was Business Class. On Ethiopian Airlines, the flight attendant was able to walk over in FRONT of my seat to serve me and I had a WINDOW seat and I was NOT in the front. Both planes had those full reclining seats which could serve very nicely as a bed. I wish I could afford to fly that way all the time!
