was the first jet powered airplane made by Germany and what year?
A basic mechanic's tool set includes wrenches (both metric and US standard), sockets, screwdrivers, pliers, etc. There may be a few special tools required depending on what engine you are working on, but mostly you use basic mechanic's hand tools to assemble an aircraft engine. What was the flying sewer cover?
Spanners, Sockets, torque wrenches, wire locking tools, mallet, balancing equipmentWell, I don't like to disagree with someone with their A and P, but I will say this. It is not that simple. If your an aircraft mechanic the rule of thumb is you never have enough tools. Never, period! I have about $20,000.00 Of special high quality tools in my tool box. I also have always bought cheap junk in pawn shops to make special tools myself to reach hard of away places. And I still save them, never know when I will need them. In defense work we are not under the FAA but in some ways we are light years ahead of Civil Aviation at any level. I am currently laid off at Lockheed in Fort Worth, getting my A and P, but everything I have learned in defense work for twenty- three years is a big plus. In aircraft mechanics, one is you never have enough basic tools, and will always need special tools. Third is some you will have to build and use yourself.
