The distinction between military and civil planes depends by the user, for example a lot of airplanes designed as airliners are used by air forces as tankers or transports, and some military transports are used by civil cargo airlines.
For example KC-135 and B.707 are the same airplane, the future marittime patrol P-8 is a version of B.737, and Atr-42 surveyor is the marittime patrol version of regional airliner Atr-42.
So military/civil division does not really depends on the plane itself.
