oklatom: This is not "New" they use to dump stuff in the 50's adn 60's to check what would happen....only they did it here. Some of it was just you know,.. testing fuel. Other times they were testing other things hopeing there was a positive reaction (better plants, less bugs),.. and where I live they still like to screw with stuff to influence the "Weather" by doing stuff like dropping salt on clouds... which tends to create lightening.,.. and I don't know what else but we had Snow while it was Triple Digits out a couple summers,.. I still wonder what the "Snow" was made of.
Added2: I guess not so recently now that I think about it,.. maybe a decade ago. I would say the snow was a distraction but didn't change that it was and felt like Triple digits out XD

There has been a lot of testing of OTH (over the horizon) Radar going on. The idea is to put a layer of artificial cloud up to bounce radar off of so you can see over the horizon (think elegant carom shot on a billiard table). A byproduct of this testing revealed that this artificial cloud cover also acts as a sort of shield from space based radar and optical surveillance. The DOD will occassionally contract civil aircraft to disperse chemicals to test this technique.

Unfortunately I am aware of this. People think that it is a joke I am starting to think it is true. I remember the contrails from when I was younger to just in the last few years and they are different. Why do they stay in the sky so long and then slowly spread out. After a very busy day of these "trails" watch the sunset, eeck! scares me! But I am not a blind follower either, I am willing to open my eyes to the possibility that things are not as they should be.What happen when aircraft hits cloud?

It's tipical of a kind of modern superstition, in fact there are a lot of this kind of delirant conspiratory theories, about moon landing, about almost all....
There are some reason because this is delirant. Of course airplanes are not designed to do that, so they would need some modifications, and this supposed chemicals would have to be refilled every flight, and so a lot of people would know about this and it's impossible for such a large number of people to keep it in secret.
If someone wanted to use chemicals on people would never spray it at high altitudes, they probably used water distribution or spray at low altitude to avoid dispersion caused by strong winds.

For one thing, if Chemtrails existed by dumping something into the atmosphere, it would never reach the ground from jet altitudes. The fuel dumped in emergencies by high flying jets does not reach the ground.What these folks are seeing are condensation trails. There are 2 types, exhaust and aerodynamic. They are ice crystals formed by the aircraft as it passes through a saturated air mass.
The exhaust contrails they are formed by the addition to the atmosphere of sufficient moisture to facilitate condensation which then freezes.
Aerodynamic contrails are formed when pressure reduction around airfoils cool the air saturation.
Since these contrails are ice crystals, in certain conditions more ice crystals will build on those already there, sometimes filling the sky.
