Question:
When a pilot addmits in an airline they ask him sometimes for how much hours he spent flying ....those hours are they the hours that he spent flying on a cessna or on a simulator or on what?? and how can he increase those flying hours......Thank you,..
Answers:
How do you obtain a FAA issued Powerplant license?
That's Pilot in Command hours and yes they have to be live. The only way to increase them is to fly as PiC and have it in your log book. There are company's out there that Learjet time sensitive items around (heart transplants etc.) who only pay their pilots in flight time. Another way is by flying missions for Civil Air Patrol. Of course you can always rent a plane if your made of money. Most pilots when starting out become Flight Instructors. This doesn't pay all that much, but you get to fly on someone else's nickel. Once you've got a couple of thousand hours, freight companies will be interested, and you can then build hours flying cargo.
Does anybody know about Swiss Airlines...?
Log flight hours. Planes fall under many different classes, so log as many hours as you can in the class you wish to fly.become a flight instructor
What's the best military plane of all time?
By flying an aircraft. DUH!Identity John Travolta's airplane. Qantas 707.?
You "Log" flying hours by flying. Different category aircraft are normally logged in different columns of the logbook. For instance, "Multi-Engine", or "single-engine", or "Simulator". There are additional items to track. Instrument time, which is time "actually" flying in instrument only conditons, or a simulator type instrument flying. Add all these up and you can get TOTAL FLYING HOURS.evaluate the internal and external components of the aircraft?
Hope this helps a little.
first best u.s. based airline from ur point of veiw in service, friendliness, etc...?
The airlines are looking for total flight hours logged (training, pilot-in-command, and simulator) for whatever air crafts you are rated in. Then you need to divide those hours up into groups such as training, p-i-c, simulator, and instruction. It doesn't matter if you are trained in a helicopter or ultralight. You can increase time by recreational flying, FAR 61 or 141 simulators (@ a flight school), or flight instruction. May I suggest going to a flight school and renting a plane with another pilot. You will split the cost and get Pilot-in-Command time. Also, have your family and friends split the cost by hitching a flight to another local airport. IT'S FUN! You MUST have skill in your airman-ship. I was hired with only rotary time and they saw me fit to be trained in their equipment. The real test comes in your interview when they asks you specifics on aircraft and FAR - AIM procedures.More Questions & Answers ...
