The age old debate. And depends on what you tend to like. How is flying in a large commercial aircraft different than flying in a lite 2 passenger plane?
The Airbus is a newer design and thus has some advantages in that sense. The Airbus is silightly wider and by all accounts, the cockpit is more comfortable. The fly-by-wire design makes it lighter and when orignially built it was more fuel efficient than the 737.
how long is a flight to washington dc from san francisco?
The 737 is a 40 year old design. May seem old also very remarkable. The improvements made over the years have allowed this 40 year old design to be as practical and fuel effiecent as a design half its age. It is also a testiment to how well built these aircraft are. Many A320s built in the late 1980s and early 1990s are already reaching the end of their service life, with major fatigue cracks begining to show up in critical places.
How much does a B2 Bomber cost.?
Personally I don't have a problem with fly-by-wire, but I do have a problem with how Airbus applied to the 320,330 & 340. It will not allow the pilot, under any circumstances, to take the airplane outside of its limits. This is referred to as a "hard box" limit. And there is no mechanical backup available, On the 777, Boeing built logic into the system that allows the pilots to take the aircraft outside of its limits. It works under the assumption that there must be a reason they are trying so hard to pull up. It allows that possible structrual damage might be better than running into another aircraft, a mountain, or trees (see the well known Airbus video for a great example of the potential consequences of a "hard-box" limit). It should be noted that for the A380, Airbus went to the "soft-box" system that Boeing has on the 777.
Personally I am a 737 fan. IMHO over automation is never a good thing - we are the only species that works hard to make ourselves obsolete. The 737 is a proven winner, is still selling in record numbers (more than the A320 in the last year plus) and is built like a tank.
when a helicopter is hovering?
That being said, I would never turn down a job flying the A320.
Is there a website where I can design my dream plane?
The boing 737 is better and safer. There are to many design flaws and bugs in the A320. I was fumigated with atomized hydrolic fluid on an A320 flight due to a design flaw. And if it's computer takes a dump in-flight, you're going down fast. Can small aircraft fly VFR at night or is night flight all IFR?
I like boeing aircraft the best, airbus flies by wire but it's not as safe as boeing, there was an accident once in an airbus that the stick would work backwards, boeing has fly by wire system too, in 777.What are the education requirements in order to be a pilot?

I don't really know much about A320's but have worked on 737s for 20 years and have always liked the fluf's. I know the A300 hydraulic systems were a nightmare, maybe they are better in the modern 320's.how much does an air hostess win in UK??
....... well the difference is old and new .............. if you have flown A 320 .... you would not like to go back on a B 737 ....... people once upon a time looked forward to flying it ........ it looks dated now ........ nothing to take away from the plane ......... you will not realize it unless you know the difference ...... and difference comes only with some experience on a 320 ....... to change the rating is a stress on a pilot .......... so you don't like it at first .....Any one know about beechcraft v-tailed bonanza?
Its a wash...They both suck for passenger room. I believe the 737 is due for an update.. I think they will wait until Airbus commits 12 billion to their new A350 then Boeing will drop a new 737 on them.I heard that theres a civil plane in which the auto pilot does 100% of the flight including:::::?
A320 over the 737 every time. The 737 baddly needs a make over or Boeing will loose more ground to Airbus737 is more reliable the only thing the 320 has got over it is fbw and if u lose a comp in flight ur dead yes the 737 is in bad need of a makeover but it is still better than anything air bis offers just wait till boeing intros the787
I prefer airbus to Boeing because I think the aircraft look better and the A-380 is GREAT!
Is a CDI (course deviation indicator) and an ADF (automatic direction finder) the same thing?
I don't trust Airbus planes. I perfer to fly Boeing's because I know that they put work into the planes, and the company is not given billions of dollars from the government. Are sky condition reports in tafs and metars agl or msl?

Personally, I prefer a mechanical backup to fly by wire.
During take-off, how long can the engines of the Boeing 777-300 stay at full power?
Regarding the "rudder" issue some intoxicated passenger mentioned, It's a non issue since redesigned new rudder power control units replaced the old units. The 737NG has an entirely differently designe rudder system. That issue is out of date by at least 15 years.
Do You Like Those Old Two Seater Aircraft That You See In films - Engine Cuts Off In Mid-Flight?
Regarding Adam crash 28 days after the flight and you know the cause of the accident- darn if you aren't really good. Most airline accident investigations take 6-12 months to complete. Suggest the one poster quit his day job and join the NTSB (if he can stay sober).
Does anyone from WWI know where I can get info on pilots from Canada?
OBTW- the APPEARANCE of being intoxicated is grounds for being denied boarding ANY air carrier. It is the call of the flight or ground personnel. The passenger doesn't get a vote. To permit an intoxicated pax to get on an aircraft could result in a hefty fine for the airline and the personnel involved. AND if you get drunk inflight and cause a problem you get to go to Federal Court. Since 9/11 that is not a pleasant experience.
