How often do you have to overhaul the turbine engine in a Helicycle? How often do you have to have it replaced

Question:
The Helicycle cost less than a Suburban, but I am having trouble getting a handle on the operating costs.

Answers:

i'm buying an airplane. should i buy a high wing or a low wing?

I don't know what a helicycle is, but it sounds awesome!

Turbulance? how bad is it??

Sounds like some sort of home built. If you want to kill your self, a gun is cheaper! But, to answer the question, turbine engines require very little maintenance. The standard, from what I understand, is a hot section inspection every 500 hours time in service. Repair and replace parts as required. As long as you keep the torque, turbine speeds and the temp within limits and don't have a hot start, you should be fine! But, the cost of maintaining it might be high if something breaks.

can't a commerce student be a commercial pilot?

turbine engines usually have mfg o/h times and limitations..check with the mfg. if you dont know... just fly with a parachute & fly it til it comes apart..good luck
