I've seen biz jets with all kinds of window placement. The customer sets up the interior thier way, so maybe there is a bed, desk, shelves etc. on the side with no windows.

Depends what you want - a bit of a galley perhaps.
Therefore the whole window configuration changes as to wishes.
I have found six on the starboard, and four on the port.
As long as the thing and the pilot behave, I am not bothered.

On the Citation X, the windows are opposite each other in the seating area. There is a galley window forward of the main cabin on the right side. The main door on the left opposite the galley has no window. So, there is one extra window on the right.
