do you need a seperate license to fly a helicopter or plane?
I went to Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, OK. You can get your degree there as well which you will need if your after a job in aviation.Does anyone know if the show "Airline" on A&E is still on or has it been discontinued?
If you're looking to get a job flying for an airline, you will also need a degree. I went to Seneca College in Toronto, Canada and was hired immediately after graduating. Other well respected school is Flight Safety International (www.flightsafety.com).Explain the growth of Air travel Industry?
It all depends on where you are and where you're willing to go to get it. You can always go to your local airport and find an instructor willing to take you under your his wing but if you're wanting to go to specific school that's is connected with a university and get a degree along with your licenses and ratings then that's a different story. I'm currently going to Henderson State University in Arkansas. I'm in my junior year and just about to finish up my CFI (Certified Flight Instructor). I wouldn't say my school is the best but it is definately growing a name for itself. Everybody leaves here with about 1000 hours total time and 100 hours multi which is enough to get in with most regional airlines. The most well known in the United States would have to be Embry Riddle and I've heard ATP gets you in and out pretty quickly if you're not looking for a degree. Hope I've helped. How can I build a huge paper plane that actualy flys great distances?
It depends on what you want to do with your commercial license. If you already have your Private Pilot's license & Instrument--and you want to chump around the airparks teaching 16 year olds how to fly, then it doesn't matter. Go to any airpark/FBO. IF YOU WANT A CAREER WITH THE AIRLINES--then that's a whole new ball game. I would suggest you apply to Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Their Aeronautical Science program will take you from aviation wannabe to Airline Transport Pilot and round out your education with excellent supplemental classes like cockpit resource managment, air traffic control simulations, aircraft accident investigation and so on. Going to other schools will get you the "tickets", but only the world leader in aviation and aerospace education will get you the career ticket to the airlines. If you already have a 4 year degree, you can apply for their CAPT program. They have 2 main campuses: Daytona Beach, FL and Prescott, AZ. The Daytona campus is, in my biased opinion, better for you to get more real world flight experience b/c in AZ every day is a good flying day. at least in FL, you can fly through an actual CLOUD to get IFR flight experience.Apart from Crew quarters what are the other places on a plane crew can go that passengers can not?
