FOR PILOTS ONLY...I AM CONSIDERING TAKING FLYING LESSONS..Is it difficult to learn?
I refuse to engage in a battle of wits with an unarmed person. The answer is the Captain sits in the left seat and the first officer sits in the right in all aircraft not certified for single pilot operation. In aircraft certified for single pilot operation the Pilot also sits in the left seat, because all aircraft are designed to be operated from the left seat..Can you get a Private Pilot Licesne even if you have Panic Attacks?

UPDATE: My apologies for assuming the asker is American. And to Fosterbee, being the majority doesn't make it "right" or "wrong". My point is, they're just different. Just because someone else does something different from you doesn't make them wrong. Besides, roughly 31% of countries are left-driving.

lmao..Will the Concorde fly again in the near future?
People in the UK drive on the correct side of the road, people in America drive on the French side of the road. It's not Britain's fault that Napoleon didn't want to do anything the same way. The reason for driving on the left is that we used to ride on the left, that brings your sword arm to the point where it can do some good. With manual transmission it's also better to drive from the right seat so that the left hand is doing the low precision work of selecting gears while the right is doing the delicate and important work of making sure you don't hit anything. Same thing in the cockpit too, single seat aircraft put the throttle on the left, twin seaters put it on the right of the pilot, this isn't the best idea they ever had.How fast do passenger jets fly?
Pilots sit in both seats.
how many makes of a spitfire plane was there?
Aircraft are international, all designed to the same standards, all commanded from the left seat.
Even the Avro Lancaster and De Havilland Mosquito sat the pilot on the left, even though there was no copilot. Strange choice, wonder what they were thinking.

(for one of the comments below)The reason down is off is that pushing down is a stronger action and it's easy to wipe your hands down a switch panel and make everything off.

It depends on the aircraft. Typically, in airlines, the captain sits on the left and the first officer sits on the right.whats the smallest plane in the world?
Andromeda is wrong. The right side of the road is the correct side to be on - 84% of the world uses that side.
How does atmospheric air pressure affect the power required to fly an aircraft?
I would guess the thinking is that most people are right handed, thus have more control of the right hand to find the right button. or control, but then switches are suppose to be down is on. up is off. in the case something might fall and hit a switch it would turn that system on.what are blue rooms on an aircraft?
In the cockpit the Pilot In Command (PIC) sits in the left seat and the Second in Command (SIC) sits in the right seat. The left seat is universally accepted as the seat for the Pilot in command, even in the UK.
