Question:
I started flying when I was 15, almost 16, now granted I couldn't solo until I was 16, and I couldn't get my license until I was 17, but I'm almost 18 now (2 weeks) and I am just now going on my cross country. Is this a bad sign. I know my instructor wanted everything to be picture perfect, in approach, landing, takeoff, the works. I've almost mastered everything. Though as many of you know it's impossible to prepare for every situation. I am not that naive. I feel, though, that my judgement with many situations is good, and that's how my instructuor feels (I think) so is this a bad sign or not. Extra Credit: Be honest how many of you pilots don't go in the pattern, you just do straightins when it comes to landings. I've had problems in NC with other pilots just doing straightins when I am just a few miles out, going in the 45 to downwind, I feel like I'm being cheated, no matter what kind of rush you are in you should still follow proper procedure.

How does a jet engine move an airplane?
It is always good to solo.Sounds like you have had some age/legal issues that has broken up your training and you've needed some refreshers. That's perfectly normal.
I want to get more information about commerial aircraft industry.?
But it sounds like your instructor is being to hard and protective of you. I remember my first solo. I was 22 and already an aircraft mechanic and I felt like I was being abandoned. I didn't think I was ready.
How do I become pilot (airplane) of commercial aircrafts?
When you are a student pilot they are picking the routes and the weather and making the final decision whether you go or not. This should be enough for your skill level. So what if the landing is a bit bumpy. We learn by doing and going out by yourself is the best feeling in the world.
my grandson wants the answer to this?/?
As for the pattern.. its a little different here in Canada. We cross mid-field instead of joining a downwind straight in or a 45 and most of the circuits are on one side of the field here in BC due to terrain. I NEVER go straight in to an uncontrolled airport unless it has a Manditory Frequency with someone in a tower giving traffic and runway reports or it has a CZ. I have stomped on people on the radio (mostly Americans by the way) who try without doing proper procedures.
