No. Japanese gave up to making the jet plane.Actually, we tried to... but ...American government...political pressures on....
However, Japanese is making fighter jet. It is modyfied version of F-15 or something. Mitsubishi Heavy Industry Co. is making that one. It is faster than concorde, I think.ヽ（´ー`）ノ

I heard a long time ago they wanted to make a supersonic aircraft that can fly from either New York or L.A. to Tokyo in 2 hours. With the crash of the Concorde, I wonder if those plans were put to rest. So far I have not heard any updates on this aircraft. No it would be a waste of time. No country is going to allow another supersonic plane fly over it's air space because of the sound it makes as it passes. Super Sonic Flight is only allowed over the ocean therefore anytime it's over land it will half to decrease it's speed to less then Mach 1. Would this be worth it? Doubt it, they got their hands full with Toyota'sNot true. As far as I know, no one is trying to equal the Concord. It should still be flying. To delete it because of debris causing ONE crash didn't justify it's demise.
