I don't believe that the Eclipse will have TCAS, I know it will have TAWS as well as being certified for RVSM. If you go to Eclipse website that have a full list of the panel etc... that the aircraft will be equipped with.The airline with the largest fleet of Boeing 747 Jumbo?
No not yet, according to the FAA.It will probably have to in the near future. Why?
As a friend put it, with all of these new VLJ's coming out many pilots who can afford them will purchase them with not enough professional training and there will be a lot of lawn darts hitting the ground.
However there is a small system out now that is adaptable to smaller aircraft and is indeed an on board alert mechanism, but what it really tells you is there is another aircraft within a specified range. Nothing more.
