Question:
I'm an instrument rated commercial pilot with a desire to become a CFI but have so many other things going on that I can probably only justify the timing of this if I feel I can bring in enough cashflow as well. What rates are you getting (after the flight schools take their cut)? How difficult has it been to retain students? How many hours do you get in a week, flying versus ground instruction?? Thanx!!
Answers:
Iam looking to purchase some aircraft wire. i can not find it on the net anyware. any ideas.?
I talked to my best friend who is a CFI. He does it part time, and charges an hourly rate. He doesn't do enough to justify doing it full time, as there are sooo many cfi's to choose from.I'd recommend it, if you were okay with not making a living at it, or if you'd get enough satisfaction from it, from the passing on of a love for flying. Course, that's why I'd do it, but then again, I'm not you. Good luck with your decision!!
i used to make 18 bucks an hour. if you think that is decent money well it isn't. i would be at the airport for 8 hours a day and get paid for 3 or 4 if i was lucky.
