Why don't flight instructors teach spins?

'Scramble' is the term used by airforces to get aircraft airbourne as quickly as possible.

why do pilots say roger ?

The word was probably first used in the early years of aviation, when a squadron would literally sit around waiting for orders, then run to their plane. The confusion surounding a squadron getting into planes, getting engines started, taxiing and getting airbourne is one which today involves a lot of rules. Originally it must have been a recipe for disaster, and this is probably where the word scramble comes from.

How many planes crashed on 9/11 and where?

A modern jet fighter takes a lot of time and effort to be redied for flight. Its not like a car where you jump in and turn the engine on.
During the cold war there used to be several front line bases where fighters would be kept at 'standby' to intercept any Russian bombers. It would take the whole effort of an airbase, many hundreds of personal to keep a couple of aircraft at rediness to be in the air within 5 minutes of being scrambled.

Even a single engined private airplane takes about 1 hour of pre-flight checks before a pilot will even think of starting the engine (including checking whether there is water in the fuel tanks). Best to find a problem on the ground where you can do somthing about it, then in the air where you can't.

how much kilometer on the airport runway?

"Scramble, or scrambled" refers to a need to get the aircraft airborne as soon as is possible. Generally, it isn't going to take 30 minutes to get an aircraft off the ground. Any military base assigned the duty to have aircraft in the air at a moments notice, that is, to scramble a flight, will have an aircrew on standby, and the aircraft fueled and ready for flight. Try, 10 minutes or less, to get an emergency interdiction in the air.

How are blimps launched?

The term "scramble," as applied to fighter operations, originated with RAF Spitfire and Hurricane squadrons during the Battle of Britain in WWII. The squadrons would be on alert, sitting in or around their alert huts in full flight gear, with the aircraft fueled, armed, preflighted and warmed up, with canopies open. When the coastal radar or ground observers spotted incoming German aircraft, the squadrons would be notified, and had to get airborne as rapidly as possible to intercept the approaching enemy force. The pilots would then run to their aircraft, start up, and take off, forming up shortly after takeoff. They described this as "a mad scramble," and the term scramble came about to describe a very rapid deployment of aircraft on a mission. Thus, a Scramble is a call for almost instantaneous deployment of a unit already standing alert to get them in the air and started on their mission. The spy movie you referenced, with the "Hollywood" dialogue, was just a typical misuse of aviation terminology by the film industry, trying to inject a dose of intrigue by using "real aviation slang" to mystify the audience, without actually realizing that the use of that term was completely contradictory to the message - it would take 30 minutes to "scramble" a jet. BTW, during the Cold War, SAC (Strategic Air Command) had at least 1/2 of its total B-52 force on alert at all times, and the crews were usually allowed no more than 3 minutes to get airborne after sounding the scramble order. Now THAT's what scramble means!

I wanna know passenger flight can stay at same place?

Usually a squadron will be standing by every day at every base. So the only thing that has to be done is get the pilot to the plane. The pilot starts the plane does a quick flight check and taxi out to the runway and then take off. The p[lane would have already been fueled and armed and ready to go for this day. Total time from the alarm to the time to get in the air about 5 minutes then you have the travel time to the target. If their are no planes ready to go then you will have to fuel arm and get the pilot and take off this could easily take a half hour.

How to take off properly using VNAV in a B744?

It involves having the pilots dress and ready, getting the planes out of the hanger, and ready to go. The planes should already be fueled and armed, otherwise it would never happen in thirty minutes.

I find it ironic your name is Beanie and you asked that question. You see, we always called my sister Beanie, but when she became a lawyer and joined the air force, whe insisted we did'nt call her that any more. She was "too mature", lol.

What is the best vertual airline i can not seem to find one that is good!?

In the USAF, aircraft are put on alert status. When this is done, all preflight checks have been complied with, the aircraft is loaded with fuel, and loaded for bear if it's a fighter or attack vehicle. All the pilot does is start the engine and pretty much get the SOB off the deck.
