What were some popular cars of the 1950's?
Well, since you didn't say where, I can't venture a guess as to the fine. But you now have a moving violation which usually carries 3 points with it. Watch your mail for a ticket which will give you the cost. Are road legal quads motorway legal ?
Actually, you may get none, depending on the state. In New York City, for example, if you run through one, you get a summons similar to that for a parking violation, not a ticket moving violation. For these, you pay a fine and then you are done. Also remember that the summons is sent to the registered owner of the vehicle, not the driver at that time. There's no way to know who was driving at the time. Again, this is why they don't assign points, but also if you were driving someone else's car (like a parent), that other person will get a nasty surprise in the mail.
Does buying hybrid cars really save us a lot of money?
Finally, speed is not often measured at these cameras. In the mail, you'll get a photo that shows the car with the license plate showing, in the intersection with the light red. There's usually a counter that shows the time or the number of seconds the light was red, but this is insufficient information to determine speed.
