I work for an auto insurance company in Ohio. Like I said, these are the two main reasons for re-testing individuals. Another thing they may test is your vision and hearing. Hope this has helped...feel free to ask any more questions.
Why are prices for gas so high?
Because Ohio likes to waste time and money. We moved to Maryland. We literally swapped drivers licenses. I gave them my Ohio one and they gave me a Maryland one. No test except vision. When we moved back, we had to take the written part of the exam again. Even the Policeman at the test station said it was a waste. If you fail, you still keep your out of state license and you can take the test pretty much until you pass it, so what's the point? They should pass something to change it. It's a waste of time and money for all involved. Can I say that I can not identify the driver to an automated red light violation in california ?
Age has nothing to do with it either. I was 29 when we moved back to Ohio.
I don't buy the whole insurance/ driving laws either. (I'm sure that's what they say, I just don't believe them)The laws are different in Maryland too and their insurance is even more strict than Ohio, but they don't wast your time with a test because they know you will eventually pass it anyway. Most road ways are marked, if you can read, you know the speed limit. The other states don't require a test to transfer. Ohio is one of the few that makes you take the written portion when transferring.
My husbands Ohio license wasn't even expired when we moved back, but because he transferred it to Maryland he had to take the written part too. It's just a screwed up law.
36V golf cart Cigarette socket?
it depends on your age. If your over 18 you just transfer. But under 18 they want to make sure that you know the states driving laws to.More Questions & Answers ...
