What's the "Overdrive" feature on cars for?
NO it's a separate job. They should have advised you of it's imminent need of changing though if they're any good. What should I do if i receive a letter says my car drove over speed limit captured by radar camera?
If you are speaking of the timing belt, no. Some will say to have it changed every x amount of miles... Don't fix it till it breaks. That's far to costly to have it done on a whim.If you are speaking of the serpantine belt...again No... Change that if you see it's getting cracks in it. When ever I get a new car I always buy one and put it in the trunk... just in case...
no a service is a service timing belt is a specialty. you need to book it in and say it needs a new timing belt. gl

Not normally, unless its has reached the manufacturers recommended mileage. My diesel Citroen is 80,000 miles. Check your Handbook for more info.If you could anything on a bumper sticker what would yours say?
Nope. But if you have it done have them change the water pump also. Same labor.when you pay for gas with a credit card how does the pump authorize your card first?
Unlikely. I would expect them to advise you that it needs changing though? Get it replaced ASAP.The damage if it breaks will be horrendous. If in doubt get it changed. There is a recommended mileage for the change.
The garage should advise if it needs changing, if they have not done it anyway.
What are the best 'performance' 4 wheel drive cars, not the 4X4 e.g landrover?
Don't worry if your cam belt was dodgy they would have told you, because it is not part of a service and they could have screwed more cash out of you.Who builds super lubers trucks?
Depends on mileage. If the car has done over 40k then get it done and do the pulleys and the tensioner too.The only way to properly check it is to remove it and inspect, in which case you might as well replace it anyway.
Timing belt should be changed at manufactures recommended intervals.
The most common one been 100.000 kms, this is usually a major service.
However most dealers will contact the owner prior to carrying out such repair,as this can be costly.
Hope this helps
Can a car be configured to switch between automatic and manual transmissions?
The cam belt change is a separate job normally due at a major, high mileage service. The garage would have asked for your authority to do it if it was due as it is an expensive job.More Questions & Answers ...
