I'm a CA driver going to Utah in Jan. Is there anything special I should do to prepare my car for the cold?

Question:
I use 10/40 oil and have antifreeze already in. Should I change to another weight oil and change any other liquids?

Answers:

I live in NC and would like to know what it means when a finance company releases the lien on your car title?

I wouldn't change anything, but I would test my antifreeze to ensure it was good down to -20F or so. 10/40 (or most any mulitweight oil) will be OK in those temps. Everything else should be fine.

How do I keep squirrels from destroying my car (again)?

Clean your battery connections. If you have spark plugs several years old, CHANGE them.
