3 months should be OK. Be sure to use a fuel stabilizer(available from an auto parts store) to keep the gas "fresh". Fuel breaks down over time and can cause varnish to develop. A stabilizer will allow the gas in the car to be stored for an extended period without this chemical breakdown. When the car is ready to be restarted, disable the fuel pump (if so equipped), or the ignition circuit to prevent the car from firing up. Crank the engine a few times to get the oil flowing again. Enable the fuel pimp or ignition circuit and start the car.
