Is my car cross country worthy?

My friend and I are planning to on heading out to Seattle this summer, and we found out it would be cheaper to drive, but neither one of us has the newest automobile. Is there any cheap way of finding out if my van could make it there and back, or if it's going to die in the middle of Wyoming. Both of us have driven long distances before, and we are going to try and do it under 40 hours, so the car is going to be running almost non-stop.

Good question. I have the same problem. I'm going to be moving soon and I'm wondering how my car is going to hold up. I would take it to a mechanic to get it checked first. If they don't find any problems, you should be fine. As far as non-stop, I don't think that's good for any car. You will probably want to take several breaks along the way to give yourselves and the car a break. Have a great trip!

Non-stop 40 hours? Do you not value human life? I don't give a crap about your vehicle, you are going to be an extreme danger to every person on the highway. It is illegal to drive tired, because you are impaired, and it is just as dangerous as driving drunk.
