The women that do drive badly are clueless...the type of girls that aren't only bad at driving, but are bad at everything else they do except act like b*tches and TRY to look good haha
I think the gender should be removed and make it a general question. Possibly lack of experience, definitely lack of comfort with the road conditions (the traffic volume and speed make them uneasy) and then too many other distractions including talking to passengers. As I said, this applies to both gender and all ethnic and racial groups.

Not all women drive badly. Only the ones that think putting on make up will make a difference do. Ladies, sorry but sometimes not even make up will help you so don't waste your time....I wouldnt say women as a whole. I would just say some women. Anyways, from my experience, I have known women to drive with the rearview mirror on themselves, check makeup, fiddle around in purses, let go of the steering wheel and screaming when they think an accident is about to happen (instead of using defense driving), and doing a few other things WHILE DRIVING! Also, I know a few women that are WAY too careful while driving. They panic brake (brake really hard) at EVERYTHING they think is coming their way on the road (squirrels, cats, dogs, litter, etc. and even cars that are NO WHERE NEAR THEM). Its like they are scary drivers. Why do I feel bad for answering this question...

SOME women drive poorly because they don't have enough practice - they've always had men drive them everwhere they go and they rarely get behind the wheel on their own.

And accident-wise, men are the kings. The vast majority of vehicle crashes happen because of male drivers. That's why men pay so much more for car insurance!

I don't see much difference. Yes, women are more prone to being on the telephone, putting on make up or fussing with their hair, consist radio station hoping; but, men are guilty of being on the telephone, watching ball games in the car when they should be driving and more prone to Drinking and Driving. And more men are involved with attempting to run from the cops and when men have accidents they are more devastating than when women have one. Yes, more women are involved in accidents than men; it use to be the other way around; but, when young men get behind the wheel they have this need for speed and stupidity. So; where is the difference? You want to see ignorance -- go on the road with a truck driver for a week. There is a lot of stupid drivers out there who has no regard for human life. Because women are stupid.I know what you mean! And I'm a female...I've never gotten into any accidents though, but all my friends that are girls have gotten into at least one accident!
