Performance Upgrade?

Question:
Hello, I was just wondering if you guys have any clever ideas on ways I can upgrade the performance on my '85 Fiero GT. Right now its just bone stock, I was thinking of a cold air intake, new bigger ported throttle body, and maybe a bigger exhaust. It's Automatic also so I cant really do much with that can I? Thanks for the coming tips!

Is there a waterproof box that you can transport 8by4 sheets in,that goes onto the side of a short wl base van

you can but a cold air intake on it buts its an older car so the short ram intake maybe better for it. you shouldnt change the throttle body unless your gonna turn it into a high horse power motor and if you were you shoould get individual throttle body's. get some performance springs and lower it it will help with the handeling of it
NOS in an auto is not a good idea=0
dont get to big of an exhaust and dont get those one that have two cause youll lose low end torque

Does gasoline stop working if opened for a long time?

it all depends on how much cash you want to put in it. i had a Fiero and i would not have spent a nickle on it. cant remember the year but it was junk. broke down allot.

What does BMW stands for?

there is a huge market for you fiero guys. the craze right now is swapping in a northstar V8 engine, or changing the entire body! i've even seen a complete "Ferrari Fiero" before. very unique.
as far as performance bolt-ons, i think you have a good basis with the intake system and the exhaust. also, for the transmission, B&M and other companies make shift kits that make the automatic transmission a little bit more fun to play with by raising the line pressure and firming up the shifts.
later on, you may want to look at a new set of cams, some ported intake manifolds, exhaust headers, to name a few. good luck, and check out some of the forums that are out there. they prove to be a huge help.

Which car is best to use as a taxi cab here in the philippines? toyota vios or corolla altis?

I hate to say it--but your first concern is the front end lift at high speeds. it is known that the normal Fiero at 95 mph lifts badly --and is discouraged along with the Fiero Gt in any form of active racing. So your first concern is to remove the rear wing/spoiler and increase the size of the front. At in the cold air intake--- if you could pipe the high pressure cold air back to the engine, maybe that would get you an extra 5 hp at 60 miles an hour--but not worth the work. Larger throttle body and exhaust would get you a few extra here and there--- but only above 5500 rpm's, and it would be a little slower from 0-60.
I have no idea why you want to upgrade this car. Because of the problems that plagued it for cooling, weak clutch, no racing following for decent after-market parts , over steering, lite front end, and unstable at speeds (esp in turns) at 95 mph and higher. It's a neat little car and safe as it is---just leave it alone and enjoy it.
As far as turning into a kit car--do you really want to put $12,000-$25,000 building it up and have a resale value of $3500. This is a 22 years old car, it has no race heritage in SCCA racing, has no street credibility, and not even slated for a possible collectible.
