Question:
First off, my car is worth about 100 bucks, and it would take around 600 bucks just to get it into "fair" condition.
what are some different types of fuels used in vehicles?
My question is, what can happen when I mix E85 with normal gas in this vehicle? (25-40% E85)
I know it doesn't blow up or anything, but I have been mixing about 25-40% E85 with my fill ups and I have not noticed anything negative yet.
are american radios compatable with european cars/ireland?
Trust me, if the car goes to crap, I'm not worried, so please don't suggest I'm dumb for doing this, cuz I have already saved more on gas than the car is worth doing this with the miles I put on.
Just curious.
Thanks
Answers:
Ethanol burns with an alkaline residue that eventually will degrade seals and fittings throughout the engine and exhaust system. A strong alkaline is dangerous to mechanical systems as would a strong acid be. Other than that, you won't blow up.
okay so i need a car with good gas mileage...what kind is good??
it can be bad for the piston rings, fuel pump, injectors o-ring. but you should be ok.Why do old people always seem to drive big white cars...?
Although your vehicle was not manufactured to run on E85, no problems should occur if you mistakenly fuel once with the alternative fuel. The largest difference between an E85 powered vehicle and a gasoline powered vehicle is that their computer modules are meant to read different amounts of oxygen within the fuel. E85 contains a higher amount of oxygen than gasoline and E85 compatible vehicles are made to read that higher amount. When a higher amount of oxygen is read by a gasoline powered vehicle, your "check engine light" may appear. A number of other parts on the FFV's fuel delivery system are modified to be ethanol-compatible. The fuel tank, fuel lines, fuel injectors, computer system and anti-siphon device have been modified slightly. Alcohol fuels can be more corrosive than gasoline. Therefore; fuel system parts have been upgraded to be ethanol-compatible.my new small business is car washing by steam jet, any advice? is it good and safe for cars?
Ultimately it is a drivers choice, but we do need to be firm in recommending that only FFVs use E85 and to state that we are not responsible for damages.
