I need some options...my car has died but it is too expensive to get fixed right now. I was 2.5 hours from home, can I get someone else with an SUV to tow my jeep? Or what other options do I have?

Yes you can Uhaul has car dollies for transporting cars from one place to the other. I would recomend also getting the dollies for the rear wheels so you have all 4 off the ground. It's about 25 bucks for the rental and then whatever they charge in mileage (Normally it's 5 cents a mile.) other wise you can find someone with a trailer and use that. DO NOT use a rope or chain when you are going to cover that kind of distance. You will have an accident. using the dollies is your best option. Contact Uhaul
What does it mean when a car has been "tubbed'?
Yes you can tow it, but the vehicle towing should be powerfull enough to do it, not a 4 cylinder vehicle. It is better to get it on a trailer, you dont want the back wheels on the ground spinning your driveshaft and transmission, that is not good for it.
