I have a 97 GMC Jimmy... I noticed that every time i would press the accelerator, I would hear something that sounded like "water-boiling" or "bubbling" coming from the front of the truck.
Can you get better mpg by switching off the engine when going down hill and ideling?
I ignored it, being the girl that I am.. lol ((blush)). Well a week ago or so, my truck began to overheat, so I added antifreeze, since it was low. That solved my problem for the rest of that day. Since then, I have to add antifreeze every time I want to drive anywhere... I guess it pours out pretty fast... because every time I pop open the hood, there is only a little bit of antifreeze left...
Is my car ugly? I just got it.?
I decided to ask here first, before I take it to a mechanic, and they tell me 10,000 other things that have nothing to do with my problem.
Soooo... What can be the problem? What should I do? Any suggestions?

Water pumps usually have a hole in the bottom of them that leaks coolant when the water pump wears out, I would feel the bottom of the pump to see if it is wet. If it is then it is probably bad. Another way to check the water pump is to loosen the belt on the front of the engine ( usually only have one) and see if the water pump spins very easily if i does then it is wore out and you need a new one.Your driving along an you go for the breaks and nothing.what you do?
If that don't work check your oil if it is milky then you probably have a bad head gasket. That will cost more to fix.
Does gasoline stop working if opened for a long time?
If that's not it then see if you exhaust smokes a lot if it does then it could also be the head gasket.
Can you put car tint on house windows?
