How long will i have to study for my permit test?

Hey.
When I was getting my permit I read through the booklet about 3 times.
Then when I went to take the test, I failed it twice in a row.
I blame it on the TERRIBLE phrasing of the questions. They're ridiculous!

Why do cars fishtail?

I would suggest, if you know pretty much how to drive already, and the rules/guidlines associated with driving... Read the booklet the you get at DMV through once or twice, mostly concentration on those nit-picky questions that they use to fool you. Those are the ones you have to memorize once, pass the test, then forget about them because they are absolutely useless in everyday driving.

Anyway, study up for about a week. Then go test. You'll do fine if you've got your fundamentals down, and can remember about half of the B.S. in there.

i own a shop,and you can take as long as you want to on the written test,study until you know for sure you can pass it ,i wouldn't want to just pass it ,id want to get all of them right,but there's no limit on how long you have to get ready for it,good luck with it hope this helps,you,ll do fine on it,most people do.

What would you want in a car?

Depends on the country and the state. In the U.S you will find it (I think) fairly easy if you recognise that there are exact answers and if you have been around people who drive carefully and explain about driving if you ask.
In Britain, for example, it is a lot tougher, I am told.
