I would say so. They are usally more nervous and if they do something wrong they think they made a huge mistake which effects their driving. And it just puts to much pressure on them.Driving should not be a frightful experience. I remember I couldnt wait to get my license and when I did I was a little nervous being by myself on the road but I really enjoyed the freedom and responsibility that came with being able to drive.

It is true that statistically younger drivers are more likely to crash. I think this can be attributed to two things, inexperience and being cocky (mainly young males). The inexperience part is what goes along with learining to drive. The best thing to do is just be aware of your surroundings, check your mirrors and keep a safe distance from the car in front of you. If you are making a turn through traffic dont feel as if you have to rush, wait til you have a clearing in traffic in which you know you can make the turn safely. Do the speed limit and if another driver is being an A*$hole then just let him pass. When a light turns green quickly check left and right to make sure someone isnt flying through a red light before you go. As for the cockyness, teenagers just have to realize that they are not invincible and can be seriously injured or killed if driving wrecklessly or not paying attention. Those nerves will go away as you get more expeience. Good luck!
