you can ship items in a cargo bag, by way of cargo ship...it can take several weeks, but is way cheaper. go the the post office website or talk to someone at the post office. hope this was helpful.
EDITS: i recently sent 10 lbs of books to london by way of cargo ship, for $11.00. it would've cost over $40 by regular mail.
