Question about driving lessons?

I have a question about driving lessons. due to specific private events i haven't been able to learn how to drive. I am 19 and on my own. Is there any way to recieve some sort of private or government lessons in order to recieve my license? any help would be greatly appreciated. I am in the state of Va.

look in the phone book for driving schools ... they have dual controlled cars .. they may even let u use the car for the road test .. my grandmother pd no more then a $100 for a six hr course .. but that was in nj 10 yrs ago..

I don't think there is any help for that - driving is seen as a privelage, not a right and you can get by on public transport ( so the government say!) sorry!
