Question:
is it like more horse power means more speed? and if yes then what does RPM and CC specify? whats the relation between these three?
Answers:
Women it's a Man's world because the auto maker makes it?
Horse power specifies the useable power devoloped in the engine. Speed is directly propotional to horse power. The greater the horse power you have, the faster you can go.RPM stands for Revolutions Per Minute. It indicates the speed at which the engine is running.
CC stands for Cubic Centimeters. It specifies the displacement of the engine, the amount of air fuel mixture required for one cycle of operation.
There exists a direct relation between the three.
what cars do clarkson and co, have on the ice cold board??
To increase the Horse Power of an Engine we have to increase the amount of air fuel mixture fed to the engine. This can be done in the following ways
1) Increase the CC.
Increasing the CC of the engine increases the amount of air fuel mixture consumed by the engine(thus increasing power)
2) Increasing the RPM
Increasing the RPM increases the amount of air fuel mixture consumed by the engine within a given interval of time(thus increasing power) although the physical size of the engine remains the same
I have a 2005 lamborghini gallardo. I take it for cruises sometimes...?
So the Horsepower is dependent on both the RPM and CC
Gran Cherokee 96! i need the owner's manual, does anyone know where can i get it in the web..?
horsepower and CC are measurements of size in an internal combustion engine. The larger the number, the greater the power. RPM is revolutions per minute and counts how many times the crankshaft turns in one minute. Of course, the greater the power, the faster potential rpm you have, ergo, speed. What is the best way to get buisness for snow plowing?
RPM = Revolutions Per MinuteCC= Cubic Centimeters
What is the fastest way to defrost your car windows, Heat or AC?
The more revolutions per minute the engine is doing the fast the car is goiong.
Cubic centimeters refers to how much the engine weighs.
Why are most hybrid and alternative fuel cars goofy looking?
Horse power is a way of measuring how fast the engine is capable of going at it's top speed.
RPM = Revolution Per Minute i.e. how much revolution your Engine is takeing per minute
What is the best thing to remove paint off with on a car that can come out through a squirt bottle?
CC= Cubic capacity of Car i.e. what is the power of the engine
How can I memorise the Highway Code?
What do you mean, how much the engine weighs Get outta hereWhat is a good car made by General Motors? I don't like trucks.?
horse powerone horsepower=746 watts which means that the machine is able to take a load equivalent to .746 kw it doesnt decide the speed
and rpm means rotations perminute it decides the speed of that vehicle\
and cc is centimetre cube
its the size of the piston or volume of that and it decides the power
rpm= revolutions per minute, its how fast the engine is turning at the crank shaft.
CC is cubic centimeters, its a measure for the combustion chamber of the engine, also called displacement.
Horsepower is the measure of power the engine puts out. And horsepower is torque(the ability in power to start moving the car) over a distance.
Who is the main person that sets the price of gasoline?
Horse power tells you the power of your car.wat year did the new mustang look come out i think 04 right or 05?
CC - cubic centimeter is the piston compressionin one cycle of the car. That is the volume of the cylinder in which the piston moves.
what is favort kind of car and why?
RPM - rotations / revolutions per minute is the speed at which your engine roatates. The higher the speed the higher the rotation. Also rotation will be higher if the gear is lower.
If you fail your learner's permit exam when can you retake it?
cubic centimeters refers to how much air/fuel mixture passes through the engine (on the intake stroke) in one revolution. = cc-- a larger cc number means a bigger engine.
--rpm = rotation per minute of the crankshaft
--horse power = the more air/ fuel mixture the engine can burn- that is take in, burn ,and pump out the tailpipe- the higher the horse power. an engine is just a pump really- the bigger the pump - the more horsepower could be produced.
Horse power refers to the Power of the engine. One HP equals 746 Watts.
RPM refers to the revolutions per minute ie the speed of the piston moving in the engine.
CC refers to the cubic capacity ie. the volume displaced by the piston in the engine.
How many of you have had a sparkplug blow out of your Ford?
yes. more horse power means more speed. the horse power of the engine is an indication of the engine's power, while the rpm is a component in calculating the power. so more the rpm more is the horse power. CC indicates the consumption of the air-fuel mixture and so more the CC more is the acceleration and so more is the fuel consumption.
Is the test at the end of Drivers Ed hard?
check out http://www.indimoto.com/blog/ for information on this, infact you can ask their experts on this. These are three different specifications of a car. The horse power gives the power of the engine which in turn depends on CC, i.e the cubic capacity. The cubic capacity is the total swept volume of the engine. For example if an engine has four cylinders the cc or cubic capacity of the engine is 4 x swept volume of each cylinder. Swept volume is calculated by multiplying stroke length of piston by area of each cylinder section. The RPM of an engine varies with acceleration and gear selection. However the maximum torque developed by an engine is specified at a particular RPM, i.e revolution per minute.
'06 WRX or '06 Toyota X-Runner?
cc=cubic centimeter..is the volume swept by the piston in the cylinder...bigger cylinder used for producing more power...hp=horse power , it is the power produced but this power is not completely used as there are significant friction losses in the engine thus reducing it considerably and brake horse power is the actual useful power available...rpm=revolutions per minutes represents the rotational speed of crankshaft...greater the speed less torque and less power..More Questions & Answers ...
