Question:
I was once told that in Japan a vehicle with 30k miles had to be scrapped or a new engine put in. But I can't5 find any info on this. So I am just wondering what the truth really is.
Answers:
Moterbike licences and laws? do you need a full motorbike licence to drive a quad?
i own a repair shop ,and part of that is true they do install new engines but its because of the really strict emission laws they have there, and the engines are shipped here to the states because our emission laws aren't half as strict as there's are,and all the engines they ship here aren't from just ones that have been changed but they also have a law that a wrecked car usually is totaled out,,so you don't see a bunch of junky ones driving the roads there, that's another reason a lot of the vehicles are taken off the road, not from mileage as much but anything that gets wrecked if it cant be repaired real simple it gets junked, those are the main reasons we receive the low mileage engines, and they didn't always do that, they used to crap the whole car, until the free trade agreement was signed now its just another way for them to make money, good luck i hope this helps.I lived in Seattle Washington and they used to come in through the port by the trailer loads. That's what I heard while living there---20,000-30,000 miles and in goes new! Polution laws or something!
What size tires can I put on my Ford Ranger 4WD 15in Rims?
because they don't pass emision they are not like us that drive 150k 200k milles in our carsby 50k milles the cars are in the junk yards and people drive new cars
Is there any future for American auto makers?
Japanese emmission laws are extremly strict, and usually, by 30 000 miles/km the engines has "worn out" and causes too much polution because of wear on interior componants. The options are either rebuild the eingine, and hope it will pass laws, replace the engine with a brand new one, or buy a new car, and scrap the old one. The old ones that are not up to current emmission codes are then exported to North America and other locations for sales, for any last profits that can be made off of the "useless" engine. If you could have one American made vehicle?
because japanese people like to replace their cars every2 years and they love new cars
