Looking up a car accident resulting in the death of Isabella Reyes on 03-01-07 threw 03-02-07?
As long as it is not exposed to open air and in your container you want as little air as possible especially if it's a metal container. If your gas is exposed to open air then it will begin to condense water inside of your gas as well as break down the particles of the gasoline which will give you "that old gas smell."When the light goes on that I need gas how many more miles can I drive?
Gasoline is not flammable, gasoline vapor is highly flammable so once again, as long as it's not exposed to open air you'll be fine.
John Denver seemed to think it was safe enough for him to stockpile when the U.S. was going through a major gas shortage problem; while John was still alive.
you would have to add stabilizer to it, have it in proper cans. and to stock pile it to an amount that seems worthy...like 50 gallons or more. then this would fall under local laws of storage of explosive materials. unless you live in the pure country and are a farmer...highly unlikely they will allow this. My brother drives a top fuel dragster and is in 1/2 country but since he has a neighbor inside of 1/2 mile they won't even allow him to store 50 gallons of fuel at home. The most they can have is a 20 gallon can.
Anybody know who much a uk driving test cost these days?
just best to drive less, carry less weight in the car, get a cheaper car to run, combine errands all together, etc.
its $2.50 again already here and it was just at $2.00 just a week ago. I think we are gonna see $5.00 gas this year.
How much does it costs to have your tag and drivers licene transfered to another state?
I remember some techno. dude teaching me that a 1/4 cup of gasoline vaporised is equal to one full stick of dynamite. It's safe if you keep the air off of it.
Gasoline really doesn't burn, only the vapors burn.
At -40F it actually hard to get it to light. ( no vapor )
Diesel is a much more practical alternative since it doesn't sour like gasoline.
In illinois, can i take my car to any emission test location?
you have to have a safe way to store the fuel. Some farmers have large drums that they weld "legs" to. Then put on a hose for pumping. As for stockpiling the fuel, after 9/11 it may be illegal. I would check with you local law enforcement about it. Also, gasoline will go bad after a while. Will my vehicle lose its historical status with the DVLA?
Yes--but only if you add stabilizer, and even then only for about six months or so. Gasoline tends to varnish very quickly. One of our customers discovered this when the gas turned to varnish in his SU carburetors after he left the car sit five months, even though he added stabilizer. What do you think fiats are like in general?
So perhaps in twenty-gallon increments? Otherwise I can't much see the point of it.
What was your favorite British family car of the 70s or 80s.?
its a waste of time to make it safe to try and stock pile it time you get contaners stabilizer and all you will have spent more trying to save a littleHas any one had trouble with their cars due to the petrol scare?
Not really, even stabil can cause problems, having a few 5 gallon cans is one thing, but what would you do with more than a 55 gallon drum? Run generators? First thing you need to do is be able to lock it down, and light only the interior of a secured area because of the crazies in New Orleans that were busting in and robbing anyone with lights there. Keeping food, and if needed sump pumps or heat/AC going is the main issue for power. Having a dependable backup system like solar yard lights you can bring indoors for minimal light, or a wind turbine or min-hydropower on small ditches or streams that you could put in the ground in a locked concrete box and run your wires underground to, out of sight, would be a better option. And a woodstove you could replace the cookstove/pellet/corn stove with and heat water/cook on. If your plans involve evacuation, then you need to keep a bag or backpack packed with essentials and 2 week supply of goods handy, clothes, TOILET PAPER, document copies, etc. where you can grab them, jump in the vehicle and leave. Clean water is the main issue. All of these are more important than gasoline. Stockpiling a bike and replacement parts like tubes and tires is a better idea if you are just thinking of trying to save money on gas if a shortage occurs, making more of trips to the store to stock up, and building up a better community that can depend on each other for help and support in times of crisis, because no amount of gas will be enough. But you can go get one of those hand crank tanks like farmers have, but keep it in a secured, fireproof structure where if it explodes or is broken into by armed theives, will not endanger you or you loved ones. Everyone I know who had one got rid of it because of theives in the 1970's, a relative of mine tied his dog out by his tank on the farm and came home and found it had been shot.(That's when I began believing some people's life is worth less than a dog's). I frankly think that having enough to get 100 miles away, or more importantly to the hospital in the middle of the night and back, is about all the gas you do need on hand, or it becomes a greater liability than value.no and after a period of time it collects a lot of water.
