Answers:

My husband left the car running in the garage...with the door closed. The car has been going for about 30 min.

A strut brace, or strut tower brace, or variations on that name, reduces the flex of the top of the strut towers and keeps the struts where they belong. That makes them work better, so you have better handling because your wheels are under the control of your suspension rather than wandering around where they please.

Hauling trailer?

A sway bar, or anti-roll bar as it's called everywhere else, resists rolling. When one wheel is lifted as tha car rolls, the anti-roll bar tries to lift the other wheel, this causes the car to tend to fall towards the wheel being lifted, so the car tends not to roll. The thicker the anti-roll bar the more pronounced the effect and the more level the car tends to ride.

Car engine?

There are some major down sides to fitting anti-roll bars. They have to be matched front and rear or they tend to apply torque forces through the body. They can also result in unloading only one wheel while making the driver feel like the whole car is more planted. Say you fit a rear anti-roll bar because you own a 2003 VW Passat and believe it doesn't have one, whereas the rear suspension is actually a tortion box, or one big anti-roll bar. In dry weather you now have a car that corners flatter and you tend to drive it harder, then it rains and your usually lightly loaded rear end gives up in a major way and you spin out. What happened? You were unloading the inner rear tire, so the outer rear was taking the cornering forces and the inner was lifting, now it rained and your excessively stiff and unbalanced rear end was unable to keep the car straight with only one rear wheel getting good grip, so you spun out.

On a right hand drive car, where does first gear start?

Another problem is common mode bump response, you hit a bump on the left front and the right front drops. Your anti-roll bar is too stiff and it's applying a counter bump force when you would rather just let the wheel ride over it.

There's any way to arrive in England (ex: by train or by ship) bringing my car or van there?

they make ur car more stiff, so when you turn pretty quick you get less body roll and a smoother turn, its actually not easy installing them you have to knoe a thing or 2 bout cars and your gonna need a lift , if u dont have one your gonna spend a lot of time with just jackin up ur car
