Why is there traffic on my dead end street all night long?

Question:
I live on a dead end street in East Tennessee. My house is not at the end of the street and all night long, especially on Friday night and Saturday night I will hear traffic go up my street and about 10 minutes later go back down my street. This goes on all night long. What is the reason for this.

Could be a couple of reasons -- perhaps people don't realize it's a dead end, and drive down it anyway and then have to turn around. Perhaps someone near the end sells drugs....you can call the police and tell them of your suspicions - they will do the surveillance for you, and even if no one is selling drugs, the traffic will probably stop because of a cop sitting on your street!
