If you live round here its a good idea else one of the ASBOs will nick them!!If you make a physical effort to turn your head and look in your mirrors every few seconds then it will fair you well in your test. A good way to make sure this happens is to set the mirrors up so that you have to move your head to see in them. It is the head movement that lets your examiner see that you are using your mirrors.

Good luck and keep it safe once you have passed remembering all that you have learned and the money that it has cost you. Try to keep good practices on the road for your safety and that of all the other road users. Look out especially for the motorbikes as they can come up on you a bit quick but look out for them anyway. They get hurt easily when tumbled off

Check you mirrors regularly and when on your test it's a good idea to physically turn your head slightly when you do it, so the examiner can see that you are actually checking them.Just remember "Mirror, Signal, Manoeuvre". Lots of drivers get that in the wrong order.
Basically they just want you to get in the habbit of glancing behind you, looking down at the guages, ect... rather than just looking right in front and being oblivious to everything else.

the best times to check your mirrors are at junctions, turnings etc. turns when other traffic could be in your way or you could be causing a danger. also to check before you aproach the junction especially if it splits into lanes, as you need to be sure you are not crossing into the path of traffic behind.
also check once you have stopped the vehicle and want to move off - if you stall (trust me this can be a lot if doing the test, the keys is to keep calm), emergency stop and of course pulling out from a parked position.
