Are car manufacturers dragging heels on new technology?

The weight of the honda is approximately 1600kg. Therefore, using the method advised by the caravan club you should be able to tow a caravan weighing approximately 1280kg (80% of the towing cars weight). The general rule of thumb though is to have the lightest caravan you can manage with, though 1280kg should allow you a wide scope. One thing to bear in mind though is that the car weight is unladen but the van weight is laden.

With regards to towbars, I always used to use Towsure, who are a mail order firm. I always found the service quick and the prices reasonable. Quality was good too!! Check them out at http://www.towsure.com
