does anyone know what the dimensions are for parallel parking in maryland? i'm trying to take my drivers test but i need to practice. also, what is the distance that you're supposed to be from the curb?

You can't be any further than 12 inches from the curb. Here is a cool tip to parallel park correctly the first time ,I was taught this in driving school when I was 16. Pull up along side the car your going to park behind. Back up straight and slow till your shoulder is even with the cars bumper and stop. Turn your wheel in the correct position for the turn,and pull back slow till your front bumper is even with the cars. Then turn wheel in the opposite direction and finish backing up. You are now perfectly parked between the two cars ,and centered. A+ on score.

I can tell you that there are no specific dimensions in this test,you have to park in an already marked box,which the examiner will show you.if there are actaul cars that you have to park in between in your teat,then you want to have your car parked at approximate equal distance from each cars,again no specifics like inches or feet that I know off..just visual judgement

What are some reliable used cars from $28k-35k that were made in 2003-2005?

I can't remember if it's 6 or 12 inches, I'm thinking 6 (from the curb). Here's what worked for me (it doesn't take long), by some orange cones (you can get them at walmart, find a secluded parking lot set them down about 20 feet from eachother and move them in a little at a time with each successful attempt, do this until there's no way you can fit your car in. Practice right before your test (if possible) too. Best of luck to you.

Parallel parking..pull up to the car you be parking behind,
look over your shoulder...back up, when your front wheels get to the space between the other car's rear wheels and rear bumper, crank your wheel to the right..(this will get the butt end of your car into the space behind the other car..)
