Question:
It is well known that the technology to migrate to alternative fuels such as bio-diesel and ethanol (see Brazil) is solid. Also, hybrid techology has advanced to a point that it can be used very well in a variety of automotive applications.
How do I shift gears smoothly on my manual transmission car without the car jerking?
The question is, why isn't the US leading the way toward these technologies? Why won't the government offer real incentives to auto manufacturers and energy companies that would help wean us off of foriegn oil?
Should i get Stick or Automatic?
I have my own ideas (http://howto.netmorale.com/viewtopic.php... but I wan't to know yours.

Is it fun to run in to a car and have you ever do it?
The government is usualy at the mercy of the lobbyists,,from big oil company's,,,,,Governments are not going to change until we tell them to.Alternative energy sources have been around since the second worls war,,,,but oil has always been cheap..
Its time now for a change,,,next time you vote,,,vote for the person who's promising a change over to environmentaly freindly technology.
But count on a fight from the oil company's,,,,,dont forget,,they have their fingers in just about everything.
Thats a lot of power,,and they wont give up easily.
ATTN. ALL FIREFIGHTERS, POLICE, and EMS?
The us isn't moving towards these techs because right now it isn't "economically viable".Lobbyists for the big oil companies.kickbacks...etc.
I drove my car to work, should I leave it and take the train to class?
Why should the USA lead anyone? It is enough if inidividual nations lead themselved using best resources at their disposal. This is why with Brazil putting all of its corn production into ethanol is coming to two realizations. Bio-diesel still requires an eighty percent infusion of petrol to make the stuff. Second, corn
is a diet staple in Brazil, and the poor have not been provided with
a replacement food source. Brazil isn't happy. The root cause of US failures is it's easier to make profits on petrol as pumped.
Ok. You want my ideas. Well these probably belonged to someone else first, but I adopted them as my own. I will share.
There are about 8 or 10 or 12 ruling families in the world. They have the money. Like lots. Say more than almost any government. Get the gist..?? Their future and past as a set of ruling families weighs heavily on the valuability of petroleum and its by-products. Say, Gasoline, for instance. Well if all of the sudden, everybody goes, "Oh you mean the environment could be clean, we would have all of the energy we could ever need for anything, and we could end all of the unrest in the Middle East because now oil is comparatively worthless." Those ruling families might not have thier roosts any longer. They would never stand for that. So all of the technologies have been bought off by them. Either willingly or forcibly from my understanding. I think US DOD is one of their hand puppets.
Maybe we should just all build our vehicles to burn electrloyzed water. Seems viable to me, but I'd like to test it as many others are doing currently. Now I shall go view your views.
