Question:
I did not record my mileage last year for all my business trips. My trips are to the same locations 3 times a week so it will not be hard to figure out the actual distance. The problem is I do not have odometer readings and I use my car also for personal use so how can I figure out where the odometer was last year and is that actually required when reporting mileage? Any ideas on which is the best way to go back to enter miles?? Thanks so much, I am just not smart enough to figure it out on my own.

It will probably satisfy the IRS that you do the same routine three times a week, or 150 times a year. So, if you know the mileage for one of those trips, and multiply that by 150, that will be a good faith estimate that they will probably accept.More Questions & Answers ...
