I love driving but get rather annoyed at other road users who seem to always spoil my fun with their mad antics. When I first passed my test I loved the freedom and used to offer everyone lifts all the time :-)I love driving and have loved it ever since I started in 1982. Any excuse to hop in the car and off I go.

Why do silly Eco's insist on 4x4 bashing?
when I started to drive I loved it, but that was 6 years ago, don't even think about it now. but it is not a love of mineloved driving as a new driver, gave me confidence...got to say now its a nightmare, hate it..old drivers aged 70+ at 8am WHY? To get on your nerves thats why, Oh and forgot 2 mention the boy racers- how hard do they think they are? Posers are another...Beware- driving is a bleedin nightmare, always in Jams, people cutting you up, abusing you.

For me the novelty has worn off. Its just something I do. Though it is nice, when the weather is crap like raining, to know I don't have to wait at a bus stop getting wet. Yeah, I drive for a living - DAF 7.5 tonne vehicles, Mercedes Varios and LDV vans - and I still enjoy it but I do get fed up following tractors and slow lorries.Enjoy your driving and keep safe!
Where can I find the driving laws?
Well yes after 33 years of driving I still love it, its somewhat different now to when i passed. What was i like well to be honest I thought I was the fastest, and best on the road, yes a right idiot, but one day I don't know what but something changed I saw all my mates tearing about we all thought we were better than the next, so I thought why be better so over the next few years I took a number of driving tests passed them all, including becoming a driving instructor, and wish i still was, the best thing I ever had said to me was from the Police Office who passed me on the Advanced test when I asked what else could i do, he said the only thing left for me was to join the force, which I didn't, and part of wishes I had, not just for the driving.Anyway I wish you many years of safe driving.
I passed my test on a Wednesday (2nd attempt).
On the Thursday I had a knock on the door informing me that our housemate was on life support after being involved in a horrific crash. So my excitement quickly disappeared. But it sure as hell made me a very conscious and alert driver. I NEVER speed on urban roads (only the motorway to a max of 80mph) regardless of whether or not there is anyone else around/time of day etc. A driver speeding in the oncoming lane was the cause of our housemates accident because they couldn't control their car and ploughed into their oncoming car head on at 60mph.
Moving on to the positives though, I love my car and I love driving even though other peoples driving infuriates me at times. People are just so unbelievably selfish. It's all about them, no consideration for anyone else.
I used to rely heavily on public transport so it makes you even more grateful to be able to drive. Nothing beats finishing a 12-hour shift and knowing that you can just get in your car and drive straight home rather than having to wait 40 minutes for the next bus in the cold and dark.

i'm a new driver too! lol. i barely got my permit 2 weeks ago and i have to drive with someone over 21...lol. but so far...I LOVE IT! hehe =]I've had a full licence nearly 30yrs ,and I still love driving. I learned my driving in London.Now I live in the country and it's a pleasure to drive. Drove across the States, east coast to west,also across the salt lake in Utah,took the car off the road and did a few wheelies on the salt, great times. Enjoy your driving.

I like and love driving and like you said it gets into your system . It is like a baby learning how to walk ,it makes you want to try every new thing any time. Passing any test is wonder full , but passing a driving test is great. After going throw all the lea sons and the cautions, you just feel you are on top of the world . However driving is one thing you will hate to love if you forget to drive positively and carefully . always watch out for reckless and drunkard drivers other wise they will make a bad day for you. I generally like it. Although if traffic is heavy and there are lots of long lights, I find myself getting frustrated. But I do truly enjoy a nice drive where there is lots of scenery.Do pickups have different letters on their liscense plate than a car or are they the same?

I used to like driving in the UK but now I live in China, the cityI live in they drive like super stocks up the inside and the outside even don't look when coming out of a junction plus cut the corners at traffic lights even come head on at you and expect you to move over for them on your side of the road.As for taxi drivers all they think about is how fast they can get to there next passenger,you can see the money signs rolling in there eyes,just get out of my way
